Tour Itinerary

Hopetoun House: This grand estate near Edinburgh served as the Duke of Sandringham's opulent residence in Season 1. In Season 2, its elegant interiors were transformed into Parisian apartments and streets, showcasing 18th-century French high society.

Midhope Castle: Step back in time at Midhope Castle, the real-life Lallybroch, ancestral home of Jamie Fraser. Though the interior is sadly derelict, the exterior is instantly recognisable to Outlander fans.

Doune Castle: This imposing medieval fortress became Castle Leoch, the seat of Clan MacKenzie, where Claire first encounters the Highland way of life.

Linlithgow Palace: Experience the chilling atmosphere of Wentworth Prison, where Jamie endured imprisonment and torture at the hands of Black Jack Randall. The palace's haunting ruins add to the sense of dread.

Blackness Castle: Known as "the ship that never sailed" due to its unique shape, Blackness Castle served as the bleak and forbidding Fort William, a key location in the Jacobite rising.

Drummond Castle Gardens: These stunning formal gardens, with their intricate terraces and manicured lawns, were transformed into the opulent gardens of the Palace of Versailles, where Jamie and Claire had a fateful encounter with Black Jack Randall.

Culross: This charming village, with its well-preserved 17th-century buildings, provided the backdrop for Cranesmuir, where Geillis Duncan and Claire were accused of witchcraft. Its gardens also became Claire's herb garden.

Falkland & Falkland Palace: Step back in time to 1940s Inverness in the charming town of Falkland. Falkland Palace itself played a role in the series, standing in for a different historical location.

Abercorn Church: This historic church was the setting for a poignant scene in Season 4, adding another layer of historical depth to the Outlander story.
