Essential Information
• Planning of your tour: Tours can be customised to suit your preferences. Please discuss the planning of your tour with your tour coordinator prior to commencement of the tour. For example, itineraries can be shortened or lengthened, adapted to include your preferred locations and type of travel. Adjustments can be made prior to commencement or during the tour. Flexibility of the tour on the day is one of the major advantages of a private tour.
• Tour Customisation Activities: These are suggestions for optional add-on activities for your tour. Participation in optional activities may significantly alter the core itinerary; for example, will add additional time or result in certain sections of the itinerary being trimmed off. Please discuss preferences with your tour coordinator and a detailed customised tour will be designed for you.
• Tour durations: The duration of tours can be customised to suit your preferences but are a maximum of 14 hrs in a day. The average duration of a tour is 8-12 hours. Please discuss requirements with your tour coordinator
• Our guides: Selected for their knowledge and passion for Scotland, attentive and conscientious customer service and their good-humoured and personable nature, our guides are experienced in tour guiding and are licenced professional drivers.
• Our vehicles: We aim to provide an extra level comfort in our vehicles. Our vehicles are 7 modern Mercedes and Volkswagen minibuses with comfortable and reclinable seating and air-conditioning/heating. Bottled mineral water, umbrellas, phone charging ports also available inside. Vehicles are fully insured with public liability cover.
• Lunch: Tours can include directing you to the best local eating spots available and sampling the best local cuisines. Please discuss such wishes with your tour coordinator. You are also welcome to bring your own packed-lunch if wishing to spend more time on touring.
• Children: Children and families are most welcome! In planning your tour, please discuss specific requirements and possible activities orientated towards children. Your tour coordinator will be delighted to design an itinerary that focuses on keeping little ones entertained. Young children must also be seated in a car seat-car seats can be provided on request.
• Clothing: It is advised that you bring warm clothing and sturdy shoes as elements of the tour will occur outside of the vehicle (unless otherwise requested). If including outdoor activities in your tour, then you will be advised to bring appropriate hiking apparel (waterproof clothing and hiking boots). Scotland can be extremely wet and cold, so come prepared!
• Accommodation (multi-day trips): Your accommodation on a multi-day tour must be booked by yourself. Please discuss your accommodation choices with your tour coordinator prior to booking. The driver will book their own accommodation.
• Luggage space: There is room for approximately 5 large suitcases in our vehicles.
